Areas of Expertise Performance based budget, gender budgets, financial management, and participatory monitoring and evaluation.
Major Current Activities
  • Research project on the "Management of Public Budget" to enhance the role of citizens in formulating and influencing the state's public budget, considering that it reflects the issues and priorities that are of great concern to the state. The program aims to identify and present budget components to simplify and explain them clearly to the public.

  • Research project in collaboration with the Arab Region Governance Program of UNDP on "Promoting Transparency and Integrity in the Field of Financial Management".

  • PARC implemented with UNIFEM a project entitled "Budgets that Respond to the Needs of Men and Women". The project was piloted in the ministries of youth and local development to introduce gender sensitive budgets and evaluate the extent to which women have benefited from the different allocations in the two ministries prior to introducing a gender sensitive budget.

  • Program on the Stock Market for Journalists.

  • Program on the General Budget for Journalists Training Programs.  This program encourages transparency and integrity in financial management and reinforces the role of citizens in the formulation of government budget, as it reflects the government's priorities.
